With my teeth extractions still healing, I'm reminded to get a stronger blender.

I’m getting there. Jamba Juice, oatmeal, and a bit of soft serve seems to take the edge off. And my wife made some killer soup and I almost finished a bowl of extremely soft gnocchi.

Nothing to make you feel middle aged like sitting at home with chipmunk cheeks, healing extremely slowly

As a grown-ass man who finally got his wisdom teeth out last year, I second this notion. It sucks - hopefully you get back to health soon. There sort of comes a point where you suddenly realize you’ve started eating normally again.

I feel you. This has been a budget b- usting dental year for me, with 4 crowns (expected) and a root canal (decidedly not expected).

I’m leaving mine in until they rot.

I ate scrambled eggs recently and it was a milestone for me.

I feel you too. (Sounds weird, sorry )
The root canal+crown  I had 4 years ago, turned into an infection, which turned into an extraction at the same time as my wisdom teeth. It’s been an adventure.

Funny thing I had some bronchitis 4 months ago and quit vaping/smoking altogether... and the dentist was like “don’t smoke, ok?” and I told them I stopped and their res ponse was “Ok sure, just don’t smoke”

I will say... earlier is better for healing. I just couldn’t afford it in prior times

they are pretty single minded about that shit...

One (1) week after I had mine out, my work sent me on-site against my request. I have never been so glad to find out that the plant’s cafeteria had really soggy pizza.

Yikes. Was this a time frame where camera phones were a thing? Taking a picture of the back of your mouth and sending it to HR might have done a few things, unless it’s a small company.

I can’t even eat soggy pizza yet. I’m graduating to over-boiled mac and cheese in the evening.

This was last year. That project manager wasn’t going to take no as an answer. He suggested I packed a lunch.

I recall the chipmunk cheeks from when I had the lower wisdom teeth pulled in 8th grade. That photo has been burned.

Last week I  m entioned to a co-worker that I was getting a cleaning. We talked a little bit about going to the dentist and she mentioned that she got her first cavity at 42! I think she only has one or two.  I have way past my fair share.  I guess someone needs to set the 99% percentile.
